Mogilev provincial zemstvo hospital – a developed center for medical care for a woman at the beginning of the twentieth century summary

Purpose: to study the formation and development of state protection of women's reproductive health in Belarusian lands as part of the activities of a separate medical institution at the beginning of the twentieth century.
Materials: the article present little-studied sources of the subject: a report of the Mogilev provincial zemstvo council to the fourth regular provincial zemstvo assembly on the Mogilev provincial zemstvo hospital for 1913, reports on the Mogilev central midwifery school for 1881 and 1883, publications from the Minsk medical news for 1910, etc. The current publications of scientists of the Soviet period (G. Kryuchok) and the post-Soviet period of the development of the history of medicine (N. Mitsyuk, N. Pushkareva, A. Belova, N. Motorova, N. Parfenova, etc.) are considered.
Methods: systematization and analysis of historical sources, comparative analysis and modeling, the method of historical re-prospecting.
Results: a model of organizing medical care for a woman in the Mogilev Provincial Zemstvo Hospital in 1913 is presented. It was noted that the Mogilev Provincial Zemstvo Hospital was a clinical base for classes and practice of educational institutions operating in the city. Thus, it was proved that the Mogilev provincial zemstvo hospital in the late XIX - early XX centuries was a developed center for scientific and practical assistance to a woman in the territory of modern Mogilev, Minsk, Vitebsk, Gomel regions.
Conclusion: the activities of the Mogilev provincial zemstvo hospital are an example of affordable medical care for a woman in the late XIX – early XX centuries. Medical care was provided around the clock and was gratuitous, wordless, the confessional aspect was taken into account in the interests of the woman, etc. Тhe materials presented in the article allow you to trace current trends in changing existing gender stereotypes.
