Changes in reproductive performance indicators of two-breede sows Y × L depending on polymorphism of the DNA marker complex of LIF (rs322167972) and BF (rs339261793)

For the first time, an analysis was conducted of the influence of polymorphism of complex genotypes for DNA markers LIF (rs322167972) and BF (rs339261793) on reproductive qualities potentially significant for pig selection in two-breed sows from a combination of Yorkshire and Landrace breeds (n = 70), used as final maternal forms in a pig breeding complex. The conducted analysis allowed us to identify complex genotypes with different polymorphisms of the LIF (rs322167972) and BF (rs339261793) genes in the studied two-breed sows Y x L, affecting the indicators of economically significant commercially useful traits: LIFВВ BFАА, LIFВВ BFАВ, LIFАВ BFАА, LIFВВ BFВВ, LIFАВ BFАВ, LIFАВ BFВВ, LIFАА BFАВ and LIFАА BFВВ. It was established that the indicators of prolificacy, litter weight at weaning and the growth rate of piglets under sows are determined polygenically. It was found that the indicators of litter size, litter weight at weaning, and piglet growth rate under sows are determined polygenically. Moreover, sows with the complex genotypes LIFBB BFAA and LIFAB BFAA are preferred for selection based on indicators such as total number of piglets born per farrowing, the number of live piglets born (prolificacy) and the growth rate of piglets, and for selection based on the indicators of the number of piglets at weaning and litter weight at weaning, sows with the genotypes LIFАВ BFАВ, LIFАВ BFВВ, LIFАА BFАВ and LIFАА BFВВ were preferred.
