Abstract
The article is devoted to the actual parasitic disease - Giardiasis, its spread, classification, pathogenesis, diagnostics and prophylactics. Giardiasis in adults and children develops after ingestion of invasive protozoan cysts. Reproduction of parasites begins a few days after infection. In the acute course of the disease, their quantity in the gastrointestinal tract reaches tens of millions. Parasitizing these unicellulars leads to cholecystitis and dyskinesia. The products of their vital activity and th e decay of dead cells are absorbed into the blood, causing intoxication and allergic sensitization of the body.References
