This article discusses the possibility of using a Redcord-type suspension system in the training process (preparatory and pre-competition periods of the annual training cycle) of junior rowers. A specially developed set of exercises has been proposed to improve the strength qualities of rowers, including special exercises for the development of different muscle groups. The effectiveness of the proposed set of exercises was assessed using a battery of tests: deadlifts on a bench, leg press, pull-ups on the bar, push-ups on parallel bars and a load test on a rowing machine with an assessment of the tempo and power of rowing and the time to complete a distance of 2000 m. A study conducted on the use of the Redcord suspension system in the training process of rowers showed that the proposed set of exercises was characterized by biomechanical characteristics close to the working movement of the stroke performed in natural conditions. In the main observation group, after completion of the study, there was a significant decrease in the distance covered and an increase in stroke power. The inclusion of the proposed set of exercises in the training process showed positive dynamics in the growth of strength endurance indicators: an increase in deadlift while lying on a bench by 4.42%; leg press – by 9.62%; flexion and extension of the arms on the crossbar by 32.4% and flexion of the arms on the uneven bars by 11.21%. The presented results showed that the inclusion of a set of special exercises on the Redcord suspension system into the training process showed its effectiveness in improving strength endurance.
