On the nomination process of the thematic group «flowering herbaceous plants» in Russian, Belarusian, and English

The article examines the features of floronym nomination in Russian, Belarusian, and English based on the thematic group “Flowering Herbaceous Plants.” The aim of the study is to identify the motivational features underlying plant names and to determine the similarities and differences in nomination patterns across the three languages. The material of the research includes data from explanatory dictionaries of the Russian, Belarusian, and English languages. The results of the study can be used in teaching contrastive linguistics and lexicology, contributing to a deeper understanding of the features of the linguistic worldview.
