Prospects for training translators in the context of the rapid development of generative models of artificial intelligence

The article examines the challenges and prospects of translator training amid the rapid development of generative AI models. It analyzes changes in translators' professional competencies and proposes an updated training model that integrates AI as a pre- and post-editing tool. Based on an empirical study (a survey of 150 students), it is shown that traditional teaching methods are losing their effectiveness, while a hybrid approach improves the competitiveness of graduates.
