Abstract

The article discusses the prospects for the development of agricultural tourism in Russia, provides data on a number of Russian regions. Attention is paid to innovations in the agricultural complex. A review of studies of foreign authors dealing with the problems of rural tourism is being conducted. The work contains statistical data on the development of the agricultural complex. On the example of the Republic of Mari El, prospects for the development of agritourism are considered. The sociocultural resources for the development of agricultural tourism are described following a three-year study of network interaction in the field of tourism entrepreneurs, the local population and representatives of state and municipal government.
