Improving methods of assessing tourist and recreational resources in Belarusian regions for the development of internal tourism in a changing global context

The article discusses various approaches to assessing the tourism and recreation potential of a territory. Based on an analysis of domestic and foreign theoretical, methodological, and applied aspects of the formation and study of potential, as well as the criteria for evaluating specific types of tourist resources, the article proposes an algorithm for assessing the tourism and recreation potential of a territory that takes into account and compares the specific features of the potential of the Republic of Belarus: natural resources, cultural and historical, labor, economic, material and technical, information, and institutional.
