Formation of Material Support of the Border Troops GPU (OGPU) in the Beginning of the 1920 on the Territory of Belarus

Based on archival materials, the article highlights aspects of the formation of material support for the border guard of the State Political Administration under the NKVD of the RSFSR (United State Political Administration under the SNK of the USSR) in the early 1920s in Belarus. The structure of the organs of material (rear) support of border agencies is revealed on the example of the 1st Border Regiment of the 2nd Border Division, stationed in Minsk. Problems in catering personnel, in food supplies, in the establishment of bath and laundry services are shown. The organization of baking bread by forces of a military unit in a regimental bakery is disclosed.
