Technical education and people's universities (1908-1919)

Possible options for the development of higher education in the Russian Empire received a new sound during the first revolution of 1905-1907. People's universities gained particular popularity, where technical departments were opened, which was never implemented in classical universities. The article highlights the activities of National universities, including in Belarusian cities, to popularize technical knowledge as an integral attribute of higher education.
