- Goal and objectives
1.1 The aim of the Editorial Policy of the journal "Vestnik Polessky State University. Series of Social and Humanities Sciences" is the accumulation of the best Belarusian and foreign articles on philosophy, history, political science, psychology, sociology, pedagogy, reflecting the results of innovative, research and scientific-practical activities of researchers of universities, scientific organizations of the Republic of Belarus, countries of near and far abroad.
1.2 Objectives of the Editorial Policy of the journal:
- To enable scientists to openly publish reliable results of their scientific research;
- to contribute to the formation of honest scientific polemics in order to improve the quality of scientific research, the efficiency of examination of scientific works and identify the potential for the introduction of advanced achievements of humanities;
- to draw the attention of various scholars and practitioners to the most promising areas of contemporary humanitarian thought;
- ensure interaction and attract young Belarusian and foreign scientists to publications in journals; exchange opinions between scientific schools from different countries;
- to carry out the most substantial scientific dialogue and relevant exchange of humanitarian knowledge between leading Belarusian scientists and the international scientific community.

2.1. Subject matter of the journal "Herald of Polessky State University. The series of social and humanities sciences" is formed in accordance with the following directions of scientific research:
- social-philosophical problems of modern society;
- national and public security;
- political communications and information security;
- ideology and youth policy in Belarus;
- world history, the history of Belarus and document science;
- psychological and pedagogical research and civic education.
2.2. The editorial policy of the journal is based on traditional ethical principles of scientific periodicals developed by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) for editors, reviewers and authors.
2.3. The Editorial Policy of the Publishing House includes 3 components:
Regulation on manuscript review procedures;
Terms of publication of articles.
2.4. Relations between all parties (staff of the Publishing House, editors, authors, reviewers) are based on compliance with the Publishing Ethics of the Publishing House.
2.5. Admission, verification and preliminary review of manuscripts submitted by the authors for publication in the journal "Vestnik Polessky State University. Series of Social and Humanities Sciences", performs Deputy Editor-in-Chief.
2.6. The Deputy Editor-in-Chief checks the submitted materials for compliance with the subject matter, as well as qualification of the members of the editorial board, international editorial board of the journal and mandatory compliance with the conditions of manuscripts publication, published on the journal website and being mandatory for the authors.
2.7. Manuscripts, including accompanying documents, which do not meet the requirements of the Journal's Publication Conditions are rejected. The author is notified of the need to bring the materials (manuscripts and/or accompanying documents) in compliance with the requirements of the journal (Terms of publication).
2.8. In order to ensure the quality of published materials and respect for copyrights, all incoming manuscripts issued in accordance with the Conditions of publication of the journal pass through automated systems of checking manuscripts for borrowing (Antiplagiat, etc.) and only after that if the originality of the text is not less than 95% are sent for review.
2.9. The review of manuscripts is carried out in accordance with the Regulations on the procedure of manuscript review.
2.10. All accepted manuscripts are edited in accordance with the requirements for the publication of scientific literature.
2.11. Authors who send their manuscripts for publication in the journal, thereby expressing their consent to the publication of manuscripts and to the placement of the article (the published manuscript) in the public access on the website of Polesie State University, to transfer the text of the article (including references, bibliographic information) to persons, organizations, provision of which this information is mandatory, or other persons in order to ensure the possibility of citation of the publication, to increase the index of citation of authors and the journal "Vestnik Polesie dl. Series of Social and Humanities Sciences".
2.12. The authors are responsible for the factual materials given in the articles.
2.13. Manuscripts, which received a negative evaluation according to the review results and were rejected by the deputy editor-in-chief of the journal "Herald of Polessky State University. Series of Social and Humanities Sciences" are not published and are not preserved.
2.14. In the process of technical editing of the text and layout, the editorial staff has the right to reduce and edit the manuscript of the article.
