Editorial policy
1 Goal and tasks
1.1. The goal of the Editorial Policy of the journal “Economy and Banks” is to accumulate the best Belarusian and foreign articles on economics, finance and taxation, banking and accounting which reflect the results of research, scientific, practical and innovative activities of scientists at universities and research organizations of the Republic of Belarus and other countries, as well as the leading specialists of enterprises and organizations.
1.2. The tasks of the Editorial Policy of the journal are as follows:
-to provide scientists with an opportunity to publish the results of their research in an atmosphere of transparency and openness on scientific perspective;
-to promote an open scientific debate in order to improve the quality of scientific research and the effectiveness of the examination of the research, to identify the scientific capacity for the introduction of innovations;
-to draw attention to the most relevant and interesting areas of economic science;
-to ensure interaction and attract the leading Belarusian and foreign scientists to publish their articles in the journal, to establish an exchange of views between researchers representing different scientific schools and different countries;
-to provide an opportunity for dialogue and an exchange of knowledge between leading scientists and specialists.
2 Key Points
2.1. The topics of the publisher’s journals cover the following areas of research:
Accounting and statistics;
Finance, money circulation and credit;
Regional economy.
2.2. The editorial policy of the journal is based on the traditional ethical principles of scientific periodicals, developed by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) for editors, reviewers and authors.
2.3. The editorial policy of the Publishing House includes 3 components:
Publication ethics;
Regulations on the procedure for reviewing manuscripts;
Terms of publication of articles.
2.4. The relationships of all parties (employees of the Publishing House, editors, authors, reviewers) are based on compliance with the Publication Ethics of the Publishing House.
2.5. Reception, verification and preliminary consideration of manuscripts submitted by the authors for publication in the journal “Economy and Banks” is carried out by the deputy editor-in-chief of the journal.
2.6. The deputy editor-in-chief of the journal checks the submitted materials for compliance with the Terms of publication of articles presented on the journal’s website which are obligatory for the authors.
2.7. Manuscripts including accompanying documents that do not meet the requirements of the Terms of publication of articles, are rejected. The author is notified of the need to bring the materials (manuscripts and / or accompanying documents) in accordance with the requirements of the journal (Terms of publication).
2.8. In order to ensure the quality of published materials and to observe copyright, all received manuscripts prepared in accordance with the journal publication terms go through automated systems for checking manuscripts for borrowing (Antiplagiat and others) and only after that they are sent for reviewing.
2.9. Manuscripts are reviewed in accordance with the Regulation on the Procedure for Reviewing Manuscripts.
2.10. Editing of all accepted manuscripts is carried out in accordance with the requirements for the publication of scientific literature.
2.11. Authors sending their manuscripts for publication in the journal thereby express their consent to the publication of manuscripts in scientific journals of the Publishing House, to the publication of their articles (published manuscripts) in the public domain on the journal's website, to the transmission of the text of the article (including references, bibliographic information etc.) to persons and organizations for whom the provision of this information is mandatory, or to other persons in order to ensure the possibility of citing the publications and to increase the citation index of the authors and the journal.
2.12. The authors are responsible for the facts and data cited in the articles.
2.13. Manuscripts that receive a negative rating based on review results and rejected by the Publisher are not published. The publisher does not save rejected manuscripts.
2.14. Editorial staff in the process of technical editing of the text and layout is entitled to make reductions and editorial changes to the manuscript.
