Abstract

The materials of the article describe the new cycle excursions project «Black and White», which is relevant for the domestic market of immersive tourism. The purpose of the research is to form key positions that allow to identify the foundations for the study and development of the immersive approach to excursion activities and to determine the main stages of the immersive excursions design. The cycle «Black and White» implies the disclosure of important regional and national historical events or the study of a famous person's activity stages and his/her contribution to the history of a country (region) from the point of view of two positions: «White» - characterizing positive actions and their consequences, and «Black» - representing the negative aspects of actions and their consequences. This allows to create a volume representation of the excursion topic disclosure, expand the range of thematic excursions and diversify the tourist product. Foundations for the excursion activities immersive approach study and development are considered. The specific of immersive excursions, organizational conditions are presented. The main points related to the formation of a new immersive product and the possibilities of its approbation are described. It is explained why the effect of presence and total immersion is becoming one of the most popular and demanded requests among the modern consumers of services. The connection of immersiveness with the sphere of entertainment, tourism, education, journalism, theater is indicated. The result of this study is to highlight the specifics and conditions for organizing immersive excursions, their role in the development of domestic tourism. The authors take attention to the issue how it is possible, with the help of interactivity, to awaken vivid emotions of the consumer, how to make him take a new look at the usual, everyday things. The stages of immersive excursions design are highlighted, including a step-by-step algorithm for a service design using examples from the project «Black and White: Gavrila Romanovich Derzhavin. Karelia».
