Abstract

The goal is to analyze the main trends in the dynamics and development prospects of the market for milk and dairy products in the Republic of Belarus.

Materials and methods. The study of the object of research - the market of milk and dairy products was carried out using a systematic and integrated approach. The information base of the study is the data of the National Statistical Committee of the Republic of Belarus, materials of domestic and foreign press, Internet resources. As methods, the methods of induction and deduction, comparison, generalization and synthesis were used.

Results. Statistical indicators of the dynamics of the development of the milk and dairy products market are systematized. According to statistics from the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), world milk production is increasing every year. The growth rates of milk production in the world and the EAEU countries are analyzed. The specialization of Belarusian dairy products, dairy brands, key exporters and importers were studied, a comparative analysis of the average cost of exports and imports of dairy products was carried out. The main factors of development of the market of milk and dairy products are revealed.

Conclusion. It is demonstrated that, in accordance with the systematized data, the production of dairy products has a positive trend and corresponds to the global trend. Key indicators have been identified and analyzed that reflect the specialization and level of development of the milk market, taking into account the expansion of dairy brands, which make it possible to increase the competitiveness of products in the face of sanctions pressure. The scientific novelty lies in the fact that, under sanctions pressure in the republic, it is necessary to develop the Belarusian production of dairy products that can compete in the market, to expand brands for export positions in the promising areas proposed for this.
